The Office of the Privacy Commissioner is an independent Crown entity that monitors, researches and reports on matters relating to privacy. We promote and protect individual privacy by encouraging and sustaining a culture in New Zealand where personal information is protected and respected wherever it exists.
As well as providing input into the legislative changes, as led by the Ministry of Justice, the Programme Manager will engage widely externally, and anticipate requirements for the legislative changes advising the Commissioner and helping prepare the Office to meet these changes. There will also be a requirement to assist the General Manager and wider offices (Wellington and Auckland) with generic project management capability.
To be successful in this critical position, you will be an effective programme/project manager who has proven experience working with or leading a legislative change process. You will have worked end-to-end on relevant programmes/projects, have a keen eye for process improvement, and you will possess the ability to think ahead, be proactive and anticipate needs. You will be an effective relationship developer.
This position will be fixed-term for 12-18 months.
